So Paris is now on it's 13th day of rioting. The city just seems to be slipping deeper and deeper into Bedlam. Looking at French history this is shades of the riots in Paris during the Revolution. If the Guilotine was still around I'm sure those rioters would make use of it.
After the French Government is able to calm the masses, they to take a good long look at the social structure that created this mess. I'm not holding my breath though.

Halloween is almost upon us and I'm sure we're all worried about what to wear. Possibly more so than any other day, Halloween is all about how you look. Can't pick a silly costume and don't want to be a party pooper by not getting dressed up. But pick the right get-up an you're golden - the life of the party - the cool guy/gal - the one everyone will be talking about for the next year.

Still, the harm has already begun. Let me direct your attention to an excerpt from What’s an Indigo by Wendy H. Chapman:

Metaphysically gifted? Life color? I’m no expert but I can make a fair guess that this fails to provide a solid foundation for any legitimate self-help system. Why would one need to believe that they posses a heightened awareness? –grins— Are they God’s chosen?

Lets look at Mrs. Chapman’s criteria for the Indigo:

· Know they belong here until they are told otherwise
· Have an obvious sense of self
· Have difficulty with discipline and authority
· Refuse to follow orders or directions
· Find it torture to waiting in lines, lack patience

· Are mostly nonconformists
· Do not respond to guilt trips, want good reasons
· Get bored rather easily with assigned tasks
· Are rather creative
· Are easily distractible, can do many things at once

· Develop abstract thinking very young
· Are gifted and/or talented, highly intelligent
· Are often identified or suspected of having ADD or ADHD, but can focus when they want to

· Have very old, deep, wise looking eyes

As you can see, everything is kosher until we reach two bizarre, misplaced and unnecessary characteristic:

I credit myself on being a pragmatist but as far as I’m concerned, the jury is still out on extrasensory perception. I have a seemingly endless supply of excerpts from various sites all of which contain farfetched explanations of our neo-kids. You see, the problem is that these are the *fundamentals, the basic mechanics of how the "experts" think these children operate. The world doesn't depend on these children so why should anyone instill this ludicrous belief. At best this is a psycho-evolutionary hiccup.

As with most wars on nouns, I am hesitant to say the war on terror is going well. But it is encouraging to see a larger percentage of the Western world, not just Israel and the US, grow up to the realizations of this war. So, how do you think the war has gone so far? At the very least, since 9-11 there has not been a major attack within America. That's good, right?!

Currently, there is a meeting going on to decide what to do with the WTC site. I don't know. There should obviously be some memorial. BUT does a small memorial in the midst of the hustle and bustle of NYC do justice to the people who lost their lives and their families that still have to go on? I wouldn't think so if I lost someone I loved there. Too, rebuilding seems to me like "Let's move on. Maybe we can forget this in time". Maybe it's just me, but I honestly think that we have NO IDEA what emotional impact this has had on us (me), especially here in the city. It's coming up on a year and I still think about it everyday. Not really in a sad way each time, but it does cross my mind, even when I see the time of 9:11. It really stinks that it took something like this to make me think hard about my priorities.

And ideas on what should be done with the site?

I'm not sure I have a point in all this, I'm just sayin'...

I am trying to establishe an organization that will attempt to find the answers through social experamentation, group discussion, and study of all forms of "religion", "art", etc. It is ambitious dream, I know, but with your help, maybe we can find the truth (if there is one). Speaking of reality and selfishness... I came across this image on another website. It is someone's serious and unintentionally funny attempt at mapping out all sexual fetishes. I was surprised to find a few I never heard of. Guess you never know what will give people their jollies. Finally, I wonder if any new fetishes are around the corner or have we cornered all sexual delights already?

Here it goes... I don't know who I am. I can't find that little place to call "self". All my feelings thoughts opinions are always half way to one quarter someone else's. I need to find myself but i need to focus on my academics, and i think this problem is bringing them down...
But then after wacthing the end of Metal Gear Solid 2, I realize that there is no sense of "self". There is only a mask of lies put up on me and the people around me. I don't know my own potential, yet i don't go out for any sports. I can't stop thinking about these things late at night (and other problems and things too, like the string thereom and such but I'll post them later maybe). I need someone to guide me, the one roll model i had died in a car accident right at the intersection by my house. Now I'm all alone, unguided on what to do with my intellegence and where to go with it...

everyone has their dark moments, but what happens when you cannot remember what the light looks like? My first bf broke up with me this last valentine's day and I don't know how to deal. I wish the answers would just come to me. I now am doubting everything about me. I feel lost and it's hard to sleep at night. I keep thinking that I was the problem, even though we both were going seperate ways in our education and futures.
There is no problem moving on...other guys were asking me out the week after the breakup. This just made me feel worse. I don't know when I will be ready to move on. I just want him back. How do I get my closure? Is closure even needed to move on?
