Another Monday Sucks!
|
This world is changing so much, you blink and someone is a different trend! I don't understand it. Why can't we just ignore the television and magazines for one day and be ourselves. No, I think that would be too much of a hassle for some people. I think "minding your own business" would also be too much of a hassle for 90% of this world. Who gives anyone the right to tell me what to think, what to wear, and whom to be friends with = no one! and the next person that says "I'm here for you" I'm going to beat you and your mother up in my j's! -Roar-
never again will I wear words with name brands on them. I went to walmart today and I just happened to wear an Old Navy shirt for once in my lifetime. It was comfortable, so I wore it! A woman came up to me and said "like, omg, your shirt is SO cute" being quite of frightened I politely and quietly said "thank you" and turned my face to the ground. She stands there for a moment and asks "Where'd you get it?" ....... I walk away [never again]
-how to tell you are having a good day- when you have drank 3 iced cappuccinos and watched something about Metallica on the television every hour, all before 5:00pm! Yes!
-Things that piss me off for today- girls who change boyfriends more than I change underwear. socks with holes in them. rap music. people who make fun of me. chairs without a built in cooler and cookie maker. taco bell. breaking your toes. not being able to tie your shoes. screaming. crying. complaining. basketball. cell phones. glasses. and finally, bananas!
-bOwLiNg fOr CoLuMbiNe- go rent it, now!

Will you marry m- errr, sorry about that ;-) I know exactly what you mean! I'm so tired of how society tries to tell me what I "should" be like. I'll eat what tastes good to me, wear what feels good to me, and listen to music that sounds good to me. And if someone thinks I'm "uncool" or something like that for doing so, fuck 'em. I don't care. I'd rather have some people hate me and some love me for who I am than have people hate and love me for following some trend. I know people who try to be something they aren't and I just want to slap the bastards.
Another thing you mentioned that I can't stand are the girls who seem to have a different boyfriend every time you blink. Not being a big fan of euphemisms, I'll call them what they are: sluts. It makes me so damn mad how people can have such a total lack of dedication. People wonder why this country's divorce rate is sky high, look at the high schools. That's where it begins. A lot of parents have decided that honor and dedication aren't important values to teach their kids. While I'm not a part of any organized religion, I am a strong believer in no-sex-before-marriage (not being th emost attractive guy in the bunch, I do feel like a bit of a hypocrite ;-)). It makes me sick going to school and hearing stuff about who slept with who, who's pregnant, and who did whatever with that person. A lot of it may be rumors (which is another issue that boils my blood) but I do know that some of it's true. If you ask me it's the fault of the parents. Too damn oblivious to know what's going on with their kids.
I'd say more about other stuff but it's 2am and I think I should sleep...
And I just watched Bowling for Columbine last night. Awesome movie. Chalton Heston is an asshole.
Bye for now, -Steve

The "do what you want, wear what you want" attitude has been exploited by markets easily and efficiently. They will make a main product etc. for those who want a band wagon to jump onto, and then have lesser makets targeted at those who want to be different. For example, Warner brothers, root of all evil, in the music industry that they have chocked, will produce music aimed at band wagon riders and trend lovers and then make music for the people who don't want to be in a trand, those who want to be different. Then on their shows, the popular bands or singers might make fun of the unpopular ones, reassuring the "independent" that their music isn't accepted and assuring the dependent that thier music is accepted. For example, Bowling for colombine has reviews from such bands as michigen millitia men, and marilyn manson, etc. who are all owned by warner. I've explained and shouted this whole system many times at "different" people and those who were interested. I have left out alot as I am tired. Mtv is evil.
